In 1974, the Rev. Nancy Clark became the second woman ordained to be a pastor by our National Capital Presbytery.

In 1981, she began specializing in interim ministry. She served as interim here at Bethesda, 1996-97; her husband Paul sang in the choir.

Nancy “retired” in 2012 after serving 17 interims. She continues to serve in many ways throughout the presbytery. For several years, she and Rev. Chuck served together on the presbytery’s Care Team for pastors.
