Here’s BPC’s Black History Month Line-Up!

Sunday, February 2 @ Noon – Marcia Cole, Poet: Light in Dark Places: History in Verse.

Ms. Cole, a native Washingtonian, will read from her new book. She has won the College Language Association Creative Writing contest in Drama (2008), Poetry (2011) and Short Story (2012). Ms. Cole has also exhibited her artwork in university-organized shows. Her website: www.historyworthwhile.com

“A Matter of Worth,” Ms. Cole’s first play, has been produced and staged in four venues. She starred in the 2015 play And Still I Rise: A Tribute to Maya Angelou by playwright Rickey Hood at Anacostia Community Museum.
