We welcome the Rev. Melanie Jones as our 2019 Gordon L. Groover Preacher & Teacher! Rev. Melanie is the Instructor of Ethics, Theology and Culture at Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, VA. She is also the Inaugural Director of the Katie Geneva Cannon Center for Womanist Leadership there. A third-generation Baptist preacher, Rev. Melanie is a sought-after speaker who will help us at BPC continue our exploration of dismantling structural racism from a faith perspective. Her Good News Message this Sunday: "Liberation in Living Color," based on Luke 13:10-17. Melanie will be available over a catered lunch in the Fellowship Hall for some good "sermon talk-back."
