HERE'S SUNDAY'S BULLETIN.

"Gay Is Not OK." We probably never saw that on a Presbyterian church marquee. And yet -- until recent years -- we did not see "Gay Is OK" either.

This Sunday: "The Church and Homophobia: We Have Created It. We Are Changing It." Focus: the biggest "gay clobber" passage in all of our scriptures: Romans 1:18-32 -- which includes these (misunderstood) words:

God gave them up to degrading passions. Their women exchanged natural intercourse for unnatural, and in the same way also the men, giving up natural intercourse with women, were consumed with passion for one another. Men committed shameless acts with men and received in their own persons the due penalty for their error.  -- verses 26-27, New Revised Standard Version

Join us as we celebrate God's inclusive vision for the church by lancing the biblical boil that has festered in the church institutional for far too long -- inflicting untold soul damage on our LGBTQ sisters and brothers all around us!
