Here's how the past looked at one time at our church. This worship still is from the 1941 film, "Bethesda Presbyterian Church Grows Up" -- a fundraising piece for a larger sanctuary and general church facility. Lots of faces!

That was less than 80 years ago.

Approximately 800 years after Moses and Elijah walked the earth, we are told they were transfigured with Jesus on a mountaintop. And Peter decided he wanted to preserve that moment for all time and kingdom.

Peter was planning the past. 
And so we are always tempted to do.
