GUIDING CHRISTIAN EDUCATION PRINCIPLES AT BPC …

At Bethesda Presbyterian Church, we are interested, first and foremost, in who — not what — you are. And we believe that in the safety of sharing who we are, we can together discover whose we are. At Bethesda Presbyterian Church, we do not provide coffee-break answers to your complex faith questions and struggles. We assist and support you in living into your questions and struggles, that our God of grace and the Spirit of empowerment may be made manifest in all you are and do. At Bethesda Presbyterian Church, we do not offer you statements of beliefs for you to base your relationships. We offer you relationship-based learning for you to develop your beliefs.

OUR CHRISTIAN EDUCATION JOURNEY …

  • September-June: We often hold Book Discussions after Worship in the Fellowship Hall. We also hold frequent “Table Talks” on Wednesday or Thursday eves, 6:30 pm (supper) & 7:00-8/8:30 (program) at La Madeleine French Cafe, 7607 Old Georgetown Road.

  • June-September, 11:15 am (post-Worship): Book or Current Events Discussion in Fellowship Hall

  • Child Care is always offered, infant-12 years -- 10:30 am-12:30pm

  • While we currently do not offer Christian Education for Children, we do offer it when we have a steady flow of families with children. Currently, we have a few children who benefit from our Child Care program with one of the finest and most experienced caregivers around, Ms. Rosie Nowak.
