Bethesda Presbyterian Church

Personal — Passionate — Progressive

We celebrate Palm Sunday at 11 am Worship with a palm-waving Processional of children and choir. Sermon: "Listening for God: 'Peace in Heaven'?" Why, in Luke's gospel, does an angelic chorus announce Jesus' birth with "Peace on earth!" and the crowds on Palm Sunday announce Jesus' arrival into Jerusalem -- twice -- with "Peace in heaven!"? What does this say about our human condition and social narrative, heading into Good Friday and Easter?

Gail -- Am glad the Holy Spirit is working on ya -- and long before Pentecost! The theme's a bit scattered in this message, but the stories seem to pack a wallop for many. Share the Good News! :-)

As my late mother-in-law was wont to say, Gail: "Bloom where you are potted!"
