We are located at the corner of Wilson Lane and Clarendon Road one block from Old Georgetown Road in the heart of Bethesda, Maryland.

If you are coming by MetroRail, we are a short walk from the Bethesda Metro Station up Old Georgetown Road and a block down Wilson Lane; or you can get closer by catching Ride-On bus No. 47 (in the direction of "Rockville Station" from Bethesda Metro Station), take it to the Old Georgetown Rd & Arlington Rd. Stop and walk down Wilson Lane.

If you are coming by car, the parking lot at Bethesda Elementary School is available for our use when there is not a school function. Access to this lot is from Arlington Road at Moorland Lane. From your car walk through the pedestrian gate on Wilson Lane (which should be open) and go left down the sidewalk or circle from your car around the school the other direction to Clarendon Road to reach the church.

This Sunday (1/29) ...

We take in -- both in adult Christian education and in Worship -- the very first healing story of the very first gospel written. Jesus' act of healing in a synagogue on the Sabbath speaks in a bold and fresh way how God's grace wreaks holy disorder into our carefully ordered universe we sometimes call "church". Listening to the scripture, we at BPC ask ourselves & our guests: How can we actively join hands with some of the great healing forces surrounding us -- places such as NIH, Walter Reed, Bethesda Cares, National Naval Medical, Del Ray Club? What might it mean to be a part of this uptown church named Bethesda, not to mention the church that actually named this town of Bethesda? Here's the link to our ever-colorful Bulletin. Speaking of healing opportunities: *Note the special May event announced on the final printed bulletin page*! Come, join us at BPC this Sunday in listening for God's "Yes!" to us, that we might better respond with ours to God!

This Sunday (1/22) ...

"Jesus said to them, 'Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.' And immediately ... they followed him." (Mark 4:17-18). I've often wondered: Didn't Simon and Andrew at least have the presence of mind to ask, "How?" or "Where?" Or perhaps the Holy Spirit was simply too ... compelling? Scriptures this Sunday: Jonah 3:1-5, 10 and Mark 1:14-20. Sermon: "When We Would Say, 'How?' God Says, 'Yes!'" Our ever-colorful bulletin can be found here.
